If you have any files archived on CDs or DVDs, it's probably a good idea to back everything up, because these discs don't last forever.

Honestly, DVD burners are 25 years old now so there's nothing advanced about this tech. There's no reason it should cost anymore than this. I am surprised it's not just USB-C. I'm hoping that you can just use either/or and don't have to use both. I have a drive that's about 8 years old that you have to have both USB ports plugged in. It's getting harder and harder to use with current technology.
