Oh yeah I have the astrobot controller and it's the same story, I didn't even think to consider the difference in surface. The shiny ones definitely feel different in hand.

You can get very decent knock-offs from Aliexpress for 10 or 12 dollars. These are way overpriced for what they are.

For PS5? I'd love to see this if true. They are super strict on their compatibility. It is either first party or "pro" controllers without haptics, rumble, wake-on-command, etc.

Honestly, I'd buy any controller at this point that isn't Sony and works on the PS5 for less than they are charging. I'd prefer TMR or hall effect sticks, but even without I'd probably still bite.
