These deals have me wondering whether a new model is forthcoming. Any reports of an update?

Google TV Streamer is a solid Android TV box for people who want Google TV's interface, guide customization, and reliable 4K streaming. The layout is praised for quick channel reordering, grouping locals or kids channels, and hiding unwanted channels. It also gets credit for 4GB of RAM, HDMI 2.1, and better HDR compatibility than some alternatives. The main drawback is the remote, which is widely described as weak or missing from the deal, though aftermarket backlit remotes are an easy workaround. Lossless audio needs and Apple TV speed remain reasons to look elsewhere.

  • The YouTube TV email coupon can cut the effective price in half for eligible buyers.

    SteelRingPhillipJR

  • The deal can become very low cost when Google Store credits are available alongside the coupon offer.

    SteelRingluckygecko

  • The Google TV Streamer supports reliable 4K streaming even when an LG TV struggles over Ethernet.

    psycho_asylum

  • The Google TV interface enables faster guide navigation through channel reordering, grouping, and hiding unused channels.

    Project630

  • The remote quality is a major drawback and can make the device less enjoyable to use.

    SquattingHentomdav

  • The Google TV Streamer deal price can be misleading because it reportedly lacks a voice remote.

    dcmanryan

  • WiFi drops and YouTube can show mismatched video and audio on an older model.

    fywdude

  • The $50 coupon reportedly does not stack with an existing $20 savings, limiting total discount.

Me too... If any of you isn't planning to buy I'd please share the code. Been eyeing it for a while now and waiting for a discount
Just be aware this doesn't come with a voice remote so add $20 more for that making it $70. Once you're at that price you just as well buy the recently released Onn 4K Pro from Walmart. Google is no doubt coming out with a new model soon that will include the voice remote and in my eyes a voice remote is a must and not an option.

Onn 4K Pro is sold out online and in most local stores. Honestly the remote on Google's and Onn's products are less than ideal regardless of having a voice microphone. Thankfully there are dozens of aftermarket bluetooth remotes one can pair with most of these Google TV devices. We're enjoying a 3rd party bluetooth remote that is backlit and has a full qwerty keyboard on the back side and then the normal remote buttons on the front side. Forget if we got it on eBay or Alibaba but it's perfect and was maybe $20 last year. For the many hours of entertainment buying an extra remote is a no-brainer.

Also, the ONN seems to only have 3GB of RAM whereas the Google product has 4GB. Over time these apps and the OS gobble up more and more RAM with each update. Would rather have the 4GB of RAM with the official Google product so we can delay upgrading awhile longer.

I've been having problems with an older model the last few months. WiFi connection gets dropped when opening YouTube, and YouTube showing the wrong video and the right sound for the selection. Is this a device issue or a YouTube issue?

I agree the remote sucks, other than that it's great and good luck finding an equivalent box for $50. The Onn 4K Pro from Walmart is next to impossible to buy unless you want to fork out $70+ on eBay. ...

I'm in the rural South, and there are plenty of them in stock around here. $59.99

The only reason I'm getting the Google box is that now that it is back on sale I've got plenty of Google Store credits to make it around $30

I could get it free if I had this offer.

Wish other TV providers had an option to customize channel order in the live guide.
