I just paired my TCL QM7K backlit OEM remote that I got on eBay for $13 and it works fine. Only thing that doesn't work are the shortcut buttons for Netflix, etc. but those can likely be remapped with a third party app. So worst case if you don't like the remote, pay $15 for another remote and you have the original as a backup. Still cheaper than anything else out there right now.

I seem to collect these things for some reason. I had three Chromecast with Google TVs. I have four Roku's, two Google streamers and the ONN pro. I prefer the Google TV interface, but everybody else always picks up the Roku remote. Even when I had to Google TV on, they'll turn on the Roku side instead.

$50 always felt like the proper price for this. Hated that they discontinued the original Google Chromecast with Google TV. Is this actually a promo code or is it tied to the account? Would appreciate a code if its a promo code.

lol... i did not even bother with the email "watch Tony awards", like who gives a sh1t.... but sure enough the ad with the code is in there. got the $50 off and i have the $25 store credit from the pixel10a I bought a few months ago when they offered $100 off on launch day on top of the $250 Google Fi. streamer cost me $25 + tax. good timing because the chromecast dongle I have is really fussy now and the remote is going bonkers.
