Last time VIPoutlet had an amazing sale on Shokz headphones, they mass canceled and took a long time to issue refunds. Likewise, VIPOutlet's open box stuff runs the gamut from practically new to "what kind of monster would do this to a product and then return it?"

It's pretty much their most basic model. Older tech, but a good way to dip your toe into this kind of technology.
Personally, I'd recommend waiting for the OpenRun SE to go on sale at Costco for $80. If you decide you like using bone conduction headphones, they'll be a lot nicer version. If not, it's an easy return at Costco.
Likewise, Prime Day often has some good deals on them. Although the best deals seem to be the Best Buy open box sales when they pop up.

When vipoutlet had that great sale for the shokz T511 Openfit Air for only $13.58, I purchased it on Feb 17th but they canceled it. The price was insanely low (too good to be true) compared to its original msrp. I quickly got my refund on Feb 22nd. 5 days isn't that long. The company is great and highly rated though. They have 97% rating with 4.6 million sold products. I bought a refurbished HP slim desktop for awesome price from them before and the pc looked like it was brand new. I was shocked at its pristine condition. Before I said that I would never buy a used pc but now I would definitely buy used pc again from vipoutlet.

I remember seeing that post and thought it was too good to be true. Sorry to those who needed refunds.
BEWARE - VIPoutlet is a bunch of scammers IMO with terrible customer service. Sold locked phone and the refused to correct after ignoring multiple attempts to contact them and took max time to refund my money. Scumbags IMO.

Love the Shokz conduction headphones, but the newer versions are better. I hope the open box quality is good.
Yea. They are really solid headphones when I bike and ride my longboard. I used to use a small Bluetooth speaker on my bike but now I just use my shokz. I have the shokz openrun and shokz openrun pro. Now I want the shokz openswim for swimming but they are too expensive. I am waiting for a sale.

I have the older and newest openswim, and the newer version is pretty great because it will do both MP3 and Bluetooth where the old version would only do MP3. It's rare to find it on sale, though, when I picked it up, it was a two for one deal where they included a set of refurbished openrun with it that I gave to one of my kids.
However, if you're a serious swimmer, Zygo seems like a better solution, albeit more expensive and less convenient. (I am not a serious swimmer, but the people I know who are love their Zygo systems).

Bought this new absolutely love it. Be aware that bone conduction music quality/volume is not great (this is for all models), but podcasts or YT videos works really well. Not having to put something in or over your ears and being aware of your surroundings is incredible. I love using it at the gym or walking around

An alternative is using an ear clip style Earbuds that sit on your ear, or something like the original Sony Linkbuds with the hole in the middle. I own and use both. They don't obstruct your ear hole and you can hear outside sounds naturally.
I've tried bone conducting and while it's pretty cool, I prefer either of the above to bone conducting
