DCF840 driver, 2ah battery with lousy 1.25 Amp charger!
$99 priced where it should be.

I purchased this yesterday. Do you have a better rec? I need an impact driver for regular homeowner stuff.

It's perfectly fine for regular homeowner stuff. The main complaint is that Dewalt is generally overpriced for regular homeowner stuff and you'd be fine with one of the $99 Kobalt / Craftsman brushless drill /driver kits, or the Metabo HPT when it's on sale. Basically low end brushless impact drivers are all the same / good enough for home use, so buy whatever battery platform you're already in, or have a better reason to be in.

I have 12V and while it gets hate here it's been serving me very well for over a decade but battery is dying now and I can't get 12v batteries anymore for some reason. I was thinking of getting this but I don't know if I should wait for XR deals if they are better or wait for milwuakke 18 fuel models as those look more compact compared to XR.
