I want to paint a Basketball court free throw lines on my driveway. What paint is good for longevity since its fully in the open with rain, sun and car/foot traffic on it all the time?

It says you can select free pickup in store if that helps.

Normally the specialty paints listed for ground markings like that have some latex in them I believe. It's been so long now but back in the day I would have to use the stencil and put handicap markings in parking spaces. All of that paint was a special formula for durability and longetivity.

If you have a Sherwin-Williams or True Value near you, they usually have good staff to offer advice on paints.

For an outdoor basketball court, your best option from Sherwin-Williams is H&C Heavy Shield Water-Based Solid Color Concrete Driveway Enamel/Stain. For indoor courts, use Armorseal Tread-Plex or Pro Industrial Acrylic Floor Enamel. For court lines, use Pro-Park Waterborne Traffic Marking Paint.
Top Recommendations & Uses
  • Outdoor Courts: H&C Heavy Shield is ideal because it handles vehicular traffic, resists hot-tire pickup, and holds up well against weathering and abrasion. [1]
  • Indoor Courts: Armorseal Tread-Plex or Pro Industrial Waterborne Acrylic Floor Enamel provide the durable, scuff-resistant finish required for hardwood or concrete indoor facilities. [1]
  • Court Lines & Striping: Pro-Park Waterborne Traffic Marking Paint is a highly durable, fast-drying paint perfect for painting boundary lines and the key. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Crucial Additives & Prep
  • Slip Resistance: Bare paint on a basketball court can become dangerously slick. Always mix in H&C SharkGrip or another skid-resistant additive into your color coats.
  • Concrete Preparation: If painting over bare concrete, you must acid etch or grind the surface first so the paint can bond. Powerwash thoroughly and ensure the surface is completely dry

Thank you... Seems to be a AI response. But it works for me.

Will check... Someone gave an AI response which should be correct.

Can anyone comment whether the $10 Off $50+ coupon is one-time use? (Eg. Can be used by multiple accounts.)
EDIT: WELCOME25 takes $10 off $50. YMMV might apply to new accounts.
