Man this is expensive for a lock.... While yes this is a name brand lock it does not even have Z-Wave or any home automation options so it should not be anywhere near this price. The wireless and the app can be a bad things for people paranoid about people breaking in. Can literally get a lock that does the same exact things for under $50 if you dont care about the name brand or wireless/app.

Example, my teeho lock which I been using for over 4 years now is still going strong and I only paid $35 for it. Looks like its currently on sale from the MSRP of $50 for $43.

Batteries last about 1 year before having to change them at least mine do, but I dont have any alignment issues which is what will decide you battery life. The lock also does everything this does but without the wireless/phone app, no automation, everything is manually programmed so you do have to read the manual. So you dont have to worry about anyone spoofing the lock or anything stupid like that, even though anyone who knows anything about locks knows that no matter what lock you get its not going to stop anyone from breaking in that wants to break in.

Just giving people some options, who dont want to over pay.

I have several rentals and Airbnbs, and strongly suggest you stay away from Yale. Just look at their app reviews. Stick with Kwikset and stay away from touch screen-type locks.
