These are ok but the blade is really flimsy, so it has trouble cutting without catching and bowing. I would spend more and get a Fiskars, but these are ok on a budget. Just be prepared for some frustration.

I have this, worth the price but agree the blade and attachment is super flimsy. Lopper works fine. Would've gotten the Fiskars at Costco as likely much more durable but it's did the job.

8.5 feet is fine for small tasks I guess. Standing a on a ladder using a pole saw is not fun so I'd prefer one with a longer pole. Also, make sure you buy extra blades. Might also see about buying an extra of the nut that holds the blade in place too. Really not fun when you lose the nut because it came loose while you were sawing.
