Good lord, I know Wera is a high end expensive brand, but $36 for NINE hex keys? And not even high voltage insulated hand tools? Thats wild (especially because this is the SALE price)

I have both the metric and SAE sets and they are nice. I paid $61 for both sets in 2025 so I'm not sure this is that great of a deal.

Anyway, the main appeal is the ball end that can engage at an angle. That's a huge plus for this set. I'm not sure you can do that as well with typical sets.

Besides that, the hole is too small on the holder for a lot of wall hooks and I had to drill it out a bit.

I mean to be fair, only the cheapest of the cheap hex keys are straight cut, only the junker keys that come with ikea and other furniture don't have ball ends, I think any normal hex key set will have one side have a ball end. So not really exclusive, or a big reason to cheese these over any other set at half the cost. Just my opinion, on such a basic tool

Fair. Though the profile they call "Hex-Plus" supposedly increases contact area between the tool and fastener and reduces stress on the corners. I have no way to objectively measure that but they were better than prior ball ends I used. Like less tendency to round out socket-heads and at least subjectively better grip on slightly worn heads. The color-coding is nice plus too.
