Like Teal said, bad macros. Six Star isn't a quality company. Avoid.

Macros are actually pretty good - 170 calories for 30g of protein; BUT, there are a bunch of additives for sure (as evident by the very large serving size - 47g).

Target brand "Up&Up" is $44 for 5lbs, normal price. 25g protein in a 43g scoop. Same macros less money.

I don't know what you're smoking. The Target on has more fat and carbs and less protein in a serving. I was out the door with 2 of the ones from the post for ~$27 which is 36 servings or about $0.75 for 30G of protein. The Target one is $44 for 53 servings of 25g or about $0.83 per serving - before tax...

Oh! You're right. The price and description were confusing like it was $22 for each. Thanks!

These protein deals have really sucked lately. All these tiny little overpriced jars. Need some quality 10 lb + bulk deals to return.

Just saw an article saying social media has really increased the demand of whey and the demand for cheese is way down. Whey is the byproduct of cheese. Based on the article, I don't see too many really good deals on it any time soon. So eat a bunch of extra cheese pizza before and after a work out. Haha

"AI" says you are half mistaken (take that for what it's worth) so basically we need people to stop thinking they need protein powder with their Twinkies to drive demand down.

AI Overview
Cheese demand is currently at record highs, driven by increased domestic retail purchases and steady international exports. Per capita consumption exceeds 42 pounds annually, with cheddar and mozzarella remaining the most popular. This surge in demand has sparked a massive wave of dairy infrastructure investments nationwide.

Whey protein powder demand is currently surging, driven by a mainstream "protein obsession" and the incorporation of whey into a wide variety of everyday foods. This massive consumer demand has outpaced supply, resulting in notable market shortages and rising retail prices for both supplements and wholesale ingredients.

I got to imagine it's not that people are being more active and needing more protein in their diets but that GLP-1 drugs have hit the mainstream. These people are less hungry and can't handle more filling protein heavy foods so they seek out these new protein heavy low volume supplements and snacks to make up for their lack of protein that's crucial while on GLPs.

Macros could be better but an extra 50 or so calories in your protein scoop ain't going to move the needle in any direction.
