My area has 5-7 of these units for sale used on marketplace at any given time. Usually for $150-250 in various condition.

this is a solid jointer and this price is what it was new about 15 years ago. I have this version that was made in 2006 and it's still running like a champ.

What we call a jointer here in Europe is called a planer. 😄 Terminology makes sense since it creates a flat edge or face.

Highly recommend picking up in store if you can. I jumped on the drill press deal a couple of weeks ago and the 3rd party delivery driver just dumped it on my driveway and it got rained on. Between the "drop" shipping (pun intended) and the box being ripped open and damage it is being returned even though it was a smoking deal. I'd hate that to happen to this equipment being even more delicate.

If you deal with undress lumber, you run one edge with jointer so you have a nice square edge before you rib the board with table saw. Plus you can square any lumbers by taking as little as hair out of lumbers.

Man when I was getting this woodworking bug I was looking at this and it was about ~$750.
I still have a brand new Dewalt dw735x planer sitting in the box. I need to sell it because I'm not making time for it right now.

Bought this and the motor cage was banged in so I fixed that and the 1/8" max travel stopper was damaged fixed that then I put a 6 Inch Spiral Cutter Head in it and it works great but I would recommend picking it up as they "Drop" deliver it which is a shame...
