There is only 0.5% Carbon in 4034. Soft steel. Hard pass.

A relatively soft steel (this is 52 to 56 HRC) may need to be sharpened it frequently, but the soft metal is incredibly easy to maintain.

This isn't a horrible deal, especially if you enjoy sharpening. A lot. Just not a deal for me.

btw: Cold Steel also sells Warcraft Tantos on Ebay. (Using 4034 steel of course, so if you buy one be sure to rebuild your edge after every 5th orc slain.) Wink

Amazon is likely reading/reporting the overall length as the blade length, which is incorrect.

Overall length is 4.375", which, if read as the blade length, would be too large.

I got the tanto blade deal the other day when it was posted. I like the size and I like the tanto shape, but the knife feels cheap after having carried a couple of different Kershaw knives for a while. It just doesn't have the weight and build quality to it. The blade is sharp so far, but I wouldn't buy another one.

We're just calling anything "tactical" nowadays? cheap steel, short blade, doesn't seem like a lot of use case outside of cutting Amazon packages for another knife.
