Similar to the sold out front page Redragon MPC745 deal the other day, but faster and cheaper. 7940HS about 3% to 5% faster than 8845HS in Redragon depending on task.
https://slickdeals.net/f/19590210-redragon-mpc745-mini-pc-amd-ryzen-7-8845hs-16gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-radeon-780m-395-free-shipping?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arecent%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse&peid=0d66a2e0-4f00-4a2d-b623-8566b24effea

There is a choice here of either the AriesBox10 with the 7840HS (slightly slower by 5%) or the AriesBox20 with the 7940HS. Basically the cost difference in options shown for the CPU is $25. Also there is a choice between the 512GB SSD and a 1TB SSD. The cost difference is $40 between the drive choices. So you can get the cheapest configuration for $288 or the most expensive configuration at $351.

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...pt=glo2usa

Same item on Amazon for $430
https://www.amazon.com/ADREAMER-A...B0DK332NV7

Last note for all these Aliexpress deals. The prices fluctuate by a couple bucks all the time due to currency value changes and a few other small adjustments. There may be a +/- 2 dollar spread when checking any of these deals.

Wanted to put this extra info here for those wondering as I've been doing some research.

78xx/79xx
87xx/88xx/89xx
H 255/260

Are all roughly the same CPU with the same 780m iGPU. The 7s series are slightly faster, but draw a bit more power than the 8s series. The 255/260 are rebrand (new numbers only) of the 8s series. So they are identical.

While I would have preferred more than 16GB of memory since it is shared with the iGPU, today's market makes that upgrade not really worth it currently price to performance wise.

Thanks. This is super helpful breakdown. I've been trying to put to figure this out myself. I only came here because I'm researching what has 780M iGPUs. I'm also in the boat thinking I need 24-32 GB for memory though to be considered worth it.

Seller has only 15 followers (after being registered since June 2024), NO public feedback. no item specific feedback on any of the only 5 items they have listed for sale (Minus one tablet with a single anonymous [user name hidden] feedback from 4 days ago). == SCAM!!

This isn't FireBat, this isn't any of the other "well known" brands or stores. This is highly likely a fake seller scam account and you will not receive anything, or worse, be sent garbage/bricks and be screwed by Ali's ever decreasing customer support for scams from sellers. I wouldn't touch this deal at all.

These are also not Choice program items so you have even less support from Ali if you run into issues.

This made me feel better because I was starting to regret my Firebat A6 purchase...

I'll give it a try. They do have an official website: https://www.adreamertech.com/AMD-...PG11354811

I hope it actually turns up and works as advertised.

OP appears to be researching deals and maybe missed all that, but yes, everything you said. Even before the AI price hikes, a similar unit would have been $400 up. This looks like a honeypot, from the price alone. Actual company appears to be Shenzhen Huayi Jingpin Technology Co., Ltd. and the only reviews are tiny bought channels, and of course that doofus, Carey Holzman, who'd review any malware infested turd for a $20 gift card.

Well I'll let y'all know what shows cause my price was lower than the OP. $262 for the lower spec version. That's the cheapest I've seen for a mini pc with a 780m gpu that wasn't bare-bones. Amazon has these PCs shipping from them with next day delivery so the product does actually exist. That's my only hope lol.

Great deal for home, office, and low end gaming. (Add another stick of ram for much better performance.)

Gaming capabilities are restricted without the ability to connect to an eGPU.
  • No USB4
  • No Oculink
Although, you can sacrifice one of the m.2 slots to add an eGPU...

Yah, that was the reason I went for it. Shipped and Sold by Amazon with Amazon prime means the product is real. No one else on Aliexpress is selling one of these as another seller. The seller's name is the registered business for making these. These are shipping from inside the US and not China. The price isn't that much cheaper than other deals. There isn't a bait and switcheroo of the price through a crazy shipping charge as shipping is free. All other products for the seller are listed as Adreamer branded tech products that also sell on Amazon. Those were my reasons to give it a shot.

However, it could certainly be crap as there isn't much out there on the brand or the seller. Wouldn't be the first time I had to do a chargeback for a scam off Aliexpress. Although I tend to have more positive experiences than negative when ordering from them or Temu. The scammers are on both though.

Yup, lack of Oculink makes it more mild.. Also, it's probably a scam. Haha

I seriously want to know if you receive it, if it's not to much trouble to reply here.

I purchased an Adreamer 7940 for my wife from their Chinese store. So for those who want to see more reviews look there. 248 Reviews, 900+ units sold. Their Chinese store is definitely not a SCAM as I received the product. The only thing to note is that I had to contact them after receiving the PC to get the Windows key. I saw this peculiarity in the comments as well. Other than that wife is happy with the PC. I did a Windows reinstall, of course.
Good luck to all.

If you mean this listing directly on Ali: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/3256...70831.html then carefully read the comments. They are a mix of random devices (some showing 1 ethernet port, others showing 2); some with CPUID of Intel not AMD, complaints about it not supporting NVMe (or at least coming only with a m.2 SATA vs NVMe drive, problems where normal m.2 A+E key Intel AX210 wifi/BT modules not compatible in it.

It seems they both have reused the same listing to build feedback and then change products and/or also have significant non-disclosure about limitations on hardware compatibility. Way too many red flags showing too much risk here vs. well researched/reviewed/more respected alternatives without a near-too-goo-to-be-true offering price that has continued to sell even though only "4" were available down to "1" and now back to "4" in the last 24 hours.

Anyone can call themselves an "Official" store and slightly change the name, what proof is there the US shipping version is really the same as the Chinese version. Pics in the Chinese listing show at least one version (8GB) ram was down to $169 USD in December, and clearly not the same version. Too many inconsistencies and risk here. For those that actually are taking the risk and ordering it, post your shipping details (ship date, arrival date, carrier) and what you actually get, if anything. We're all curious

Is Windows key genuine on these boxes? Does anyone actually verify them? Sounds much better than the mini box we just bought from amazon.
