You are wrong about that, even the Dualsense edge uses cheap potentiometers beneath those analog sticks. Sony wants expects you to fork out an extra $20 every time you get stick drift.

If you can solder look into TMR magnetic sticks, these will never drift on you. There are lots of guides on YT if it's your first time soldering.

I had 2 lightly used Dualsense controllers, both developed stick drift within about 4-5 month of light gameplay. It's not just Sony Nintendo, Xbox also uses the same potentiometer for their controllers!
