I've had a few of these over the years. First one lasted, I'm guessing because I'm not sure, about a decade- also got one for work which lasted about the same time length. I replaced both with wired mice- I have a wired version of this mouse at home and a wired (other brand - can't remember what) at work.
The only reason I didn't stick with wireless is I figured for computers I prefer wired keyboard and mouse... Battery life wasn't terrible, I just figured no point having wireless if the keyboard/mouse never leave the desk.
I've been very happy with the durability of my tecknet mice.

I'm on my 2nd one. They seem to last at least 3 years. I've demoted my 1st one to backpack dweller even though it still works fine.
Only downside is it's not Bluetooth and my laptop has limited USB ports.
