Based on my experience, WORKPRO's advertised warranty should not be treated as a meaningful replacement warranty. I would suggest buying only if the price makes sense without warranty support.

I purchased a set of WORKPRO flex-head ratcheting wrenches from this seller less than a year ago. They are refusing to replace my faulty 3/8" wrench of this same style, just in the polished chrome finish. The ratcheting mechanism does not ratchet.

Their response was:
"The shipping cost to the USA is very high, so we are not able to send the 3/8 wrench, sorry for the inconvenience."

Nothing in WORKPRO's warranty says international shipping cost is a restriction on replacement.

It has been over 12 days that started out as single email responses from them per day, basically repeating themselves in each one and not honoring what is on their site. In my last email, I sent:

"If WORKPRO will not replace it, please confirm in writing that WORKPRO is refusing to replace the defective wrench under its written warranty."

And I have yet to hear back from them since.

To be fair, the metric sizes I have used a lot have had no issues.

I know I've posted this experience several times lately, but I figured people should know.

As with anything, YMMV.

Thanks for posting your account. If they aren't replacing items as they break....the warranty sounds pretty useless.

I think this is usually maybe $60 value, not nearly $132.

I've also had one of them fail and have not been able to get a replacement.

Project Farm's most recent video (yesterday, I believe) was on 8" diagonal cutting pliers and the Workpro did really well for light and medium duty cutting. I think a lot of people on here must be tradesman or really hard on their tools all the time, because I see a lot of dismissal of consumer grade tools.
Ratcheting wrenches are not cheap but they are very useful - if you're just a homeowner who likes to DIY stuff sometimes these are going to be just fine and at this price are more than half the price of what people will start to consider good quality.

That's exactly what I am. The wrench didn't work the first time I used it. Almost everything I touch with a tool is metric, except for my John Deere tractor's engine. The engine cover bolts are 3/8". The faulty wrench was clearly shipped that way, and they will not replace it.

I never expected these to be able to handle what my SK long reach ratcheting wrenches can, but I expected their written warranty to be honored if there was an issue. Shame on me for expecting a written warranty only means something if it is convenient for the company.

Hey, the warranty may stink. It seems it did not work for you. That wasn't my point.
I will say, if you are working on your John Deere tractor's engine, then you're more than a simple DIY homeowner.
