Works well when seeding. Used it this year while doing some overseeding and the part of the lawn I used it on looks fantastic compared to the side I didn't.

I got 17lbs for $40 in March from Home Depot

Depending on your square footage it looks like Home Depot still has the 17lbs bag for $40. 4000sqft for $40 where this is 1000sqft for $14.

Assuming you need 4ksqft, the 40lb bag is much cheaper even at full price
