You see if you train a small enough monkey to sit on it and drive it, he still won't get 87 miles.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank yooper2001

The problem with this older model is that it REALLY has a 500w rated motor and the controller puts out around 1200watts...not nearly what is advertised. It does have an aluminum frame...but has bad welds that are prone to crack.
There are two newer versions. The x21pro and x21 max..which have a slightly newer slimmer frame design, .that's why they are clearing out this model.

I actually own a comparable 35ah 52v ebike. IF you pedal to help and keep it to 20mph or less it's possible. Sort of a moot point as most peoples butts will wear out long before that Wink

Somewhat related, I've had the X21 max for 1.5 years. Love the look of it.
Went for a peddle version just in case they outlaw peddle-less(just a few more injury complaints away.
Reliable, power enough and weld beads are look good. I don't do jumps etc because that is what MX is for.
Max milage: 26 stop and go on sand and street, but I'm linebacker sized so normal weights will get a lot more.

.
Oh, and many kids are dumb on these, so smart parents don't enable them.

2000 watts and 31mph already makes this illegal to use in public in most places. The pedals don't make it legal.

Yeah, but the pedals allow it to pass the eye test, so as long as you're not riding at top speed constantly and more or less paying attention to your surroundings, you are far less likely to be stopped and questioned as an adult riding an e-bike responsibly through town. If I had pedals on this, I wouldn't hesitate to ride this at all where I live, but I'd be much more cautious and worried without the pedals because it's the one thing outside of riding at high speeds that can be used to immediately identify the legality of the bike without further inspection.

Nope, you are partially incorrect.
Yes, pedals matter immensely. By legal definition, all three classes must have fully functional pedals to be classified as bicycles rather than mopeds or motorcycles. Each state's laws vary.

A dirtbike like this doesn't fit any of the legal ebike classes, whether it has pedals or not. It's too powerful and goes too fast to be legally considered a bicycle in almost all of the US.

Why do you think I said "ALMOST all of the US" instead of "all of the US"?
