Pretty solid for the price. When the 1st gen SD X Elite was launched, performance was never the issue. The main issue was the compatibility of non-native ARM Apps as there were cases where the x86 native application builds did not even run or compatible with huge performance hit, due to the less maturity of the Proton x86-to-ARM ISA translator, used by Microsoft.
Before the launch of the Gen 2 of these chips, Microsoft and Qualcomm had worked a lot on that translator to iron out the bugs and performance issues, which is also true for the 1st Gen X Elite chips as they use the same ARM ISA. So, at this point, at a sub $500 price, you are getting a pretty decent processor, QHD+ 120Hz 400-nits screen, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD,USB4...pretty good.

Thank you for your input, this is trash for AAA gaming I'm assuming?

The integrated Graphics is not as powerful as Intel's Arrow lake or Lunar Lake, nor as optimized.

It's alright. I played re2 remake on this SKU, got around 70 fps at medium settings. Granted that is a bit of an older title but I didn't notice any major game breaking issues being on ARM. war thunder also runs great at 100+ fps medium settings.
A lot of games don't run though, including silent hill 2 remake, re4 remake, etc. A lot of UE5 titles just don't start for me, so I wouldn't recommend doing gaming on this.
That said, the snapdragon processor is very powerful and video edits / any sort of productivity app will be a breeze. For $460 definitely worth as a productivity machine and it's decently light at 3.1 lbs, not like those brick gaming laptops with fat power bricks. Only thing id say is, the battery reset switch on the bottom is a little fragile, I broke it off and had to hand solder the pads to make it work again but that was a stupid error. Just be careful whenever you're working inside it if you ever open it up.

It's Prism, not Proton (Windows-to-Linux compatibility layer)

Is there a way to find out if a game will run on this before purchase?
The emulator for X86 doesn't work for these games like Silent Hill 2 Remake?

Hmm have yet to use windows (and related programs) on an arm processor. Curious.
Not a bad price.

Recent games: yes. But older games will run. My Galaxybook4 Edge runs Doom and Civ VI without issues. Probably not the best quality but the games do look good and play smoothly.

Yes, its good for 1600p display and price. Apps work 90/100.
Games 60/100.
AutoCAD and some brother printers don't work.
