Bought with this deal recently. Maybe it's just me, I can't drink my whisky in an opaque glass..

many reviews with poor quality/cracked/leaks on a arrival- so if you do purchase, even as a gift, I'd test it upon arrival.

Alcohol in a no name company "charred wood" cup is a pass for me.

If it's wood can it really be called a glass?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I just returned this, the inside did not looked truly charred. It appeared stained to me. Either way if it was charred, then it was lacquered over, in which case it'd do nothing for flavor, and I'd fear the alcohol would begin to breakdown the lacquer. Hard no for me.

This product aside, Bourbon/Whiskey lovers - does the char or smoke in a glass improve the flavor? I feel like you get to a certain age and you have a TON of glassware! Either glasses that come in the fun holiday gift sets, ones you stole from a bar when you were much younger 😳 or crystal you inherited because that is what was part of everyone's wedding registry. Also - coffee cups. 😊

Curious if I should be buying charred "glasses"!
