I have this one and the porter cable brushless model. The brushless is beefy and heavy every bit as good or better than Dewalt. This one is lighter and a little easier to maneuver. But is brushed if that matters. But never had trouble cutting through anything. It did give some griping after I cut a bunch of galvanized steel pipes and water got in through the front... But after it dried for a long time was good to go and hasn't had trouble again yet. Gets pretty abused ha.

I didn't realize Amazon sold Porter Cable cordless. I have a Tractor Supply in my area so I may go pick one up as a secondary saw.

Someone mentioned Tractor Supply and I was going to purchase there but OOS which is common for my Tractor Supply. Looks like TS has all their Porter Cable tools on sale.

Yeah, other than for nailers, Porter Cable is pretty much down to a few tools at Tractor Supply and Amazon, and not much more. Stanly B+D has moved their focus much more to the Craftsman brand the last few years. I've moved on to mostly Ryobi stuff but all the PC tools I had or have were pretty capable, like a grinder that will probably outlast everything else I own, for instance. Get 'em while you can if you like PC.

FWIW, Porter Cable 20V Max and Black and Decker 20V Max will use either brand's batteries. A small mod is required to the battery and or tool but it's easy to do, details on Youtube.

I've owned a good amount of porter cable tools over the years, and despite their age, they're still chugging along. I always felt like you get the DeWalt quality and power, but at a Black & Decker price. They've never let me down, and their brushless stuff is quite powerful. Lowe's + Craftsman absolutely did them dirty. Several "new" craftsman tools are virtually identical to their porter cable counterparts, minus minor color scheme changes, and of course just enough mods to the battery connection to make the batteries artificially incompatible. Sad.

Agreed. I have PC Nailers and never had an issue. I remember when they first showed up in Lowe's (before Craftsman) and they looked like robots tools or being all Beefy and square looking...almost futuristic...lol They calmed down that look in a few years and then B&D introduced the Craftsman Line and within a year or two PC was gone. (Cordless tools that is) Do you remember when Bostich (also owned by B&D came out of nowhere and offered a 18v Drill and Impact in Walmart stores? I thought they were cool looking but within a year or two they were gone.
