Top Comments
Pros:
-Great one piece ceramic bowl, easy to clean outside due to the vertical side walls
-Pre-bowl flush "primes" the bowl before you do #2, so inner bowl is less stain prone when fully flushed
-The night lights / LEDs are very useful, never need to turn on bathroom light in middle of the night
-Well packed and protected for safe shipment
-Comes with all hoses, fittings
Cons:
-Lid is thin and lightweight, it is not designed for sitting on
-Dryers on Japanese Totos seem to do a better job
-Prone to clog easily with big drops
-Parts availability seem slim to none, don't drop the remote in water or break it. Without it, toilet functions can't be activated.
Tips:
Buy longer hoses so you can better tuck the included valve and/or water filter away (and inside the back of the toilet)
Buy a wax ring that is thicker/beefier from the big box store, the one that comes with it seems a bit flimsy
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the quality and the functionality.
I wish the lid and seat can be lifted with a single button press. You have to tap twice (and have to wait for lid to fully open before tapping the 2nd time).
Should it have any major malfunction, you may very well have to buy a new one, due to lack of parts availability at big box stores/plumbing stores. However, they are so much cheaper than the big brands that you'll still be ahead if you end up having to buy another one.

DeerValley's one piece smart bidet toilet stands out for a feature packed, easy to clean design with heated seat, warm bidet functions, night lights, and auto wash. The smooth vertical sides and pre bowl flush help keep the ceramic bowl cleaner, and the powerful flush with bubble shield has been credited with reducing clogs. Installation can be DIY friendly, but it needs a nearby electrical outlet and may require an electrician. Power outages are another limitation because flushing depends on electricity, though some versions include battery backup.
Common Questions (6)
No, it cannot flush during a power outage unless your model has a battery backup box. Some versions include an 8-AA battery backup for a blackout flush, but standard units do not.
Parts availability is reported to be slim, and the remote is especially important because many functions depend on it. If a major component fails, replacement rather than repair may be the practical option.
Yes. It needs a nearby electric outlet, and older bathrooms may require hiring an electrician to add one. The toilet's smart features and flush functions also depend on power.
The price can drop from the listed $494 to about $449.25 with an extra $55 email offer, and some buyers stacked Shop.app discounts for additional savings. One checkout path showed the Shop discount only after using the Shop email link.
Yes, it can be DIY-installed, with one owner reporting a self-install and another saying the whole swap took less than an hour on a similar smart toilet. Buyers also recommend using a thicker wax ring and longer hoses for a cleaner setup.
It is reported to have a powerful flush and bubble shield that reduce clogging, with one owner needing a plunger only once. A caveat is that the bowl can still be prone to clogging with very large waste.

But thinking out loud about this product. I have a nice higher end TOTO washlet, that sits on a regular toilet. If anything happens to the toilet - I replace it and keep the washlet. If anything happens to washlet, then I replace it and keep the toilet. Otherwise I will need to replace the entire unit, including part that is still working. pretty much like any 2 in one combo - washer/dryer, DVD/VCR etc.
I definitely see the appeal, and there are many valid reasons to buy it. But this particular cons outweighs many pros for me personally.
I sprung a little more for this model in order to have this option: DV-1S0371-V3

I don't know how many people actually share great reviews, so I'm sure there is a bias towards complaints.
I've posted my review earlier in this thread.
Very good quality on the ceramic bowl.
Features all work as advertised.
Installed myself (DIY) and it has been running well over the last 6 mos.
A quick AI search shows:
$100-$250 for labor via handyman services.
Double that for licensed plumber.
FYI - they may also charge to dispose of your old toilet. To save $$$, take it outside, wrap in a cheap Harbor Freight tarp and use sledgehammer to smash it into manageable pieces (wear goggles/face shield) you can throw out with your normal trash pickup.
Luckily for me, my 2 piece tank toilet fit in my large trash bin when separated.

The TOTTE comes with foam shield too which isn't on this Deer Valley model.
