If you don't want to go to the store, you maybe be able to spoof your location to get free shipping anyway. Here's what I did on Android:
Unlock Developer Options
- Open your phone's Settings menu.
- Scroll to the bottom and select About phone (or System > About device on some brands).
- Locate the Build number entry.
- Tap Build number seven times rapidly.
- Enter your lock screen PIN or password when prompted.
- A toast notification will read, "You are now a developer!". [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Set Up the Mock Location App [1]- Open the Google Play Store.
- Download a reputable spoofing tool like Fake GPS Location.
- Go back to your main Settings menu.
- Open the newly unlocked Developer options menu (often found under System or Additional settings).
- Scroll down to the Debugging section.
- Tap Select mock location app.
- Choose your downloaded Fake GPS app from the list.
After opening the app, I had to make sure I gave it location permissions and turned off battery optimizations. The app should guide you into doing do, but if not you may have to go into the settings. After you've done so, you can set your location to a Dick's store on the map.You should be all set to use the Dick's mobile app on store mode now, but to be extra sure the location spoofing would work, I opened the Fake GPS app and the Dick's app in split screen. Sure enough, store mode popped up, and I was able to purchase this backpack with free shipping without having to drive to the store!
Hope this can help somebody.
