The same deal exists currently on Groupon. On Groupon, I was able to buy it and then link to my existing BJ's membership, which is expired, without deleting or fixing anything. If that doesn't work for you, buy the deal for $15 on Groupon and then contact BJ's, telling them that you bought a membership via Groupon and that you need a link.
