This Total Wireless Galaxy S25 FE offer stands out for the chance to get a factory unlocked U1 model that works with physical SIM or eSIM on major US carriers right out of the box. The strongest appeal is the unlocked hardware, with reports of Metro, AT&T, and foreign SIMs working immediately. The main catch is the confusing pricing and unlock path, since the $195 three month plan, extra service, and 365 days of active service can push the real cost much higher. The UFC promo code also appears inconsistent at checkout, so the deal hinges on getting the U1 model and the expected promo to apply.

  • The U1 model reportedly ships as a factory unlocked Samsung unit that can work with US carriers using physical SIM or eSIM right out of the box.

  • Some buyers reportedly used Metro SIMs immediately after purchase, including use with a local SIM while traveling in Mexico.

  • The UFC promo code reportedly can work after completing verification and creating an account.

  • Switching service after leaving the Total Wireless store reportedly went smoothly for at least one activation experience.

  • Unlocking reportedly requires 365 days of paid and active service, which can undermine the expected value of the $195 offer.

  • The UFC promo code reportedly can fail with an invalid promo error even when it appears on the homepage.

  • The deal wording reportedly confuses shoppers by mentioning a $195 per month 3-month plan structure that may mislead about the true cost.

  • Checkout reportedly shows the phone priced around $199 plus the $195 plan and additional remainder service charges, pushing the total cost above $500 with taxes.

Does u1 version work on Verizon if you have a physical verizon Sim?
Of course! It's the factory unlocked version that works with every US carrier. It will work with a physical SIM or eSIM from any carrier in the US right out of the box. I got 3 of these around BF (average cost of about $130 each) in store. All were U1 (factory unlocked) models. I sold them all for $400 each. I have one from the Metro deal that cost me $172 that will be locked until Feb. I'm fine with waiting. I think I'm banned from Total Wireless deals (at least for a while) or I'd probably get a couple more.

Can we port from USMobile?
If yes, do they verify (external) port eligibility before checkout or after we get delivery and while we activate it?

TIA ❤️

If I port in a number and activate it on the S25 FE, can I put the sim (or esim) on another phone? If I'm porting in, I might as well make use of the unlimited data for 3 months.

And any issues with porting out at the end of the 3-mo period?

I used Google voice and it only needs a text for verification without port information. After receiving the phone, I was able to activate it by choosing a new number.

Whats the return policy on this in case I don't receive the U1 version? Reading it on Total's website, it seems like since were paying $195 up front for the 3 month plan, that wont be refunded. Since the phone is free, there's nothing to refund there. Somewhat confusing 😖

It is past due that the government finally steps in and the FCC force these carriers to sell unlocked phones or ban them from locking the phone for 365. Enough is enough.
Good luck on that FCC now proposing every MVNO to require more ID checks requiring upload ID/Passport for every prepaid account. Total Wireless third party verification company veriff just got hacked December 2025.

Has TW stopped giving out the U1 model?

I bought three S25 FEs from TW back in April (two in-store, one online) using a port-in offer. They were all U1s. I was able to use Metro SIMs right out of the box, and even a local SIM when I traveled to Mexico
Appears only sell U1 on Galaxy S Series 20 and newer.

As far as moving service, yes. I moved service from the ones I got immediately after getting home from the Total Wireless store. With porting out afterwards, I don't know because I used throw away numbers to get the phones. My brother did port out afterwards though, and didn't mention any issues.

Yes, you can port from US Mobile. In fact, I used the US Mobile free trial for 2 numbers to port. I ported 2 TracFone numbers (not eligible) to US Mobile's free trial, and from there to Total Wireless. The only issue is that Total didn't have US Mobile in the list of carriers. The guy at the store had to select "other". They will verify your number is eligible during checkout.

Do they check how long you have been with the carrier you are porting in from?

I don't think so. I ported to US Mobile from TracFone (because TracFone numbers are ineligible) for just a few days before then portiing to Total.

Looks like the deal is dead after the stock came back?
