The carrier must be active for 365 days to unlock the line. Can we port out in middle or after the 3 months complete

This won't unlock until one year of service (you have to request it then), but you should be able to do 9 more months of their basic talk and text only plan ($10). You have to call and hope they allow you to get the cheapest plan: https://www.reddit.com/r/TotalWir...text_only/

The unlock policy is bad enough that it should invalidate the $195 claim unless there is some suggestion that this will be an unlocked model(?):

It is a very shady company. Their billing cycle is 30 days. So you will need total of 13 months to unlock. The $10 stay-in connect plan is so basic and you won't get any internet data. Stay away from them.
