Toner in general does not go bad like the ink in inkjets. Had an inkjet years ago & it's such a PITA if you don't print frequently. Constantly clogged heads & dried out ink. 1 toner cartridge can last years if you don't print frequently. If it sits a long time without printing just shake it up a little bit to loosen up the toner before printing again & you're good to go.

So, I'm thinking of this printer + Canon SELPHY CP1500 https://www.bestbuy.com/product/c...ku/6521753 + local/mail photo prints.
Is that a good idea? Or is it overly expensive/complicated?
Also, is refurb great quality - new, this printer is $459 at Costco - https://www.costco.com/.product.400023
