Nice perk, although personally I'd generally rather pick up than add on a tip (even if the delivery is free). Of course, nowadays one often gets prompted to tip when picking up as well, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, as a former food delivery driver and expo, I will never tip for the pleasure of ordering from an app in advance, using my own expensive gas to drive to and from the restaurant, and walking in the restaurant to pickup my food without being served any more than a host "serves" a customer. That isn't deserving of a tip, like what a waiter or driver does for customers, nor is it a tipped wage position, where they make a smaller hourly wage due to the expectation of tips.

When these apps ask you to tip for takeout, all it is is businesses wanting to socially subsidize more of their employees' wages in a way that redirects their employees' frustrations from themselves to customers, instead of paying a livable wage themselves.

Apparently, so I just got an email saying Dashpass been extended until the T-Mobile promotion works so I'm on magenta max 55 as well

They are attempting to offset the fees DD charges them.

This was supposed to be widely available to most customers last year, but it wasn't. Unless they changed their rules for who is eligible, I suspect it will be the same again this time around.

Overall not a good deal.
