This open box 75 inch Hisense U7 is mainly appealing as a bright, Google TV mini LED set with strong picture quality, HDR, motion handling, and very good viewing angles. The 75 inch model is described as a VA panel, and the U7 is repeatedly framed as brighter and better suited to a bright room than the cheaper U6. The main tradeoff is open box condition, since some units are floor displays with high hours and missing remotes, stands, or packaging. A discounted Geek Squad warranty is often treated as part of the value, especially when the price lands far below new clearance pricing.
Common Questions (5)
Often yes: many local units are floor displays, and some were reported with around 1,500 to 5,000+ hours. That makes the discounted Geek Squad warranty especially relevant if you want protection against a heavily used panel.
Condition can vary from complete units to missing accessories like the stand, remote, box, or manual. Some buyers received everything, while others got floor models with no packaging and had to use their own remote or mount the TV.
Yes, the 2025 75" U7 is reported as a VA panel, and the 2025 75" U6 is also VA. The 2024 75" U6/U7/U8 models with an N in the model number were reported as ADS Pro instead.
The discounted 5-year Geek Squad plan is commonly treated as part of the value here, bringing the total to about $655 on a $525 TV. It is especially useful because the unit may be a display model and Hisense is viewed as a TV worth covering with extended protection.
Yes, it is the better pick for bright rooms, with one report citing up to 3000 nits and stronger contrast than the U6. The U6 is described as fine for a small dark room, but the U7 is the safer choice when ambient light matters.

That said, if you need a 75-in, this deal on the U7 is hard to beat. Looks like open box prices have dropped another $50 since the original post.
