When on sale, 3 x Sofirn 21700 batteries cost $28.50 plus shipping. So yeah, this deal basically gets you a Q8+ for less than $10, which is insane.
No one should be paying that for the included batteries. There are far better batteries, for cheaper. There's nothing wrong with the included batteries, but they don't have the highest capacity, nor the best runtime at high drain.

I'd say the included batteries have a market value of $2-3 each. A $5-6 Reliance RS50 is much better for high drain capacity. A $2.50 Samsung 58E is also better capacity than these, but not as nice a cell as the Reliance.

Good luck getting them shipped for free.

I like these bright flashlights but the user interface is obnoxiously complicated on so many of them. Why isn't high, low, candlelight, off sufficient for everyone? Meanwhile, you can ramp up, ramp down, blink fast, blink slow, turbo, blah, blah, blah. Clearly I'm too old to do more than want to click a button once and have it work. All that said... Do you need a separate battery charger with this one or does it have a USB-c connector? A battery charger is not practical to bring camping. Maybe cells with a usb-c charger built in... Even if I have to sacrifice some capacity? What do people think?

Yes, it has a USB-C port on the side. And Anduril 2 comes with the option to change between Simple UI and Advanced UI.

This is not sold by Sofirn themselves but by some Chinese scammer who named his store Sofirn Local Store, what are the chances of receiving a used or defective flashlight? Is it worth taking the risk and not ordering from the official Sofirn Alix store, just to save $5 bucks?!

True, although shipping only added $1/cell to my order when I purchased cells about a month ago. Shipping and taxes are variable depending on the person/location.

Sofirn won't ship your $28 battery order for free either, so it was an apples to apples comparison at these low volumes. Both the Samsung and Reliance will be better cells - more usable capacity from both, and lower cell-heat-output in regard to the Reliance cells.

I have dozens of Sofirn 18650 and 21700 cells, but bought replacements with the great prices the others have had lately.

From AliExpress: The seller has provided brand authorization documents and signed the Letter of Commitment to Genuine Items. The Seller has declared that the item meets the brand's quality standards.
I suppose they could have faked the documents though..

If you have a Q8+, I'd skip the SP36.
I have both, agree to go with the Q8+, but you need to also spring for a handle if you want to run it at elevated outputs for any sustained period of time
