I wouldn't call a nut driver an odd tool. Maybe the way the sockets are kept/retained is odd to some. These manufactures do a great job marketing to tradesman, but the general public might be clueless about a tool like this. Example? HVAC tech...this tool is great because it keeps things organized and lightweight to put in a veto bag. If your a tradesman, you come to the work, the work doesn't come to you, so that can mean a long carry of heavy tools. Most don't want to lug a Packout full of 200 lbs. of tools to fix replace a belt on a RTU condenser fan. And what most people not in the trades don't know...SAE is still the overwhelming standard in US based construction, HVAC, electrical and otherwise (yes there are exceptions). So it's handy to have all the SAE sizes you might need on a nut driver on a single handle/shaft, despite the odd look of it. Klein made this design years ago and others are copying.

They both seem awesome on paper, but you are better off getting magnetic nutdrivers, if you are using them on an impact.

The they kept falling off in my toolbags.
