Adding to the poor support and products. I had a slim 3 that I got through here many years ago. Parts are definitely designed to fail and what seems like planned obsolescence. Mine started to leak from the empty valve, which is a simple plastic part. They wanted to charge me exorbitant amount for a piece of plastic with an o ring.

Got a Toto, and yeah, supremely better.

I have Bio Bidet and Toto in my house. First Toto lasted from 2011 till Covid 2020. Bought the Bio Bidet, it's still functioning, replacing the original Toto. Went back to the Toto for the second bathroom. It's more quiet, washes better, and seems like the fan function dries better.

My last Bio Bidet started having water nozzle position issue after using it for about a year. The nozzle position changed randomly each time. Had to reset the unit frequently. Decided to switch to Toto S2 and could not be happier.
You count on Toto if made in Japan?

Once you have tried a bidet, you never wanted to go back to toilet paper. I hate going on vacation now because the hotels here don't have bidets. 🤭

Just got back from Japan. Almost all TOTO's everywhere. The gold standard IMO.

Statistics consistently show that more than 80% of Japanese households with two or more people own a toilet equipped with electronic bidet functions. over 80%—use electronic, high-tech bidet toilet seats (often generically referred to as "Washlets")

TOTO does not manufacture non-electric bidet toilet seats or attachments. Their bidet product line, marketed as WASHLETs, is entirely electronic and designed to offer advanced features like warm water, heated seats, and air dryers.

For me, our home was a new build and I knew I wanted one and worked with the builder to put an outlet for the sole purpose of powering a bidet. I can't speak for others though! I assume it's not that hard to add to your existing circuit in the bathroom. I've done it in other rooms myself, but you could always call an electrician if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself.
Careful with telling people to use the existing bathroom circuit. It is a code violation to tap into the outlets that are on the 20-amp circuit dedicated to the sink(s). You can tap off the lights or other floor level outlets.

Do you remember how much they charged you for the replacement seat? My heated seat no longer works on the same model as well.
I just searched my email. Found the receipt, they charged me $17.25 for the seat (discounted from $69), $1.08 for tax, and $10 for shipping for a total of $28.33. It wasn't much, but I feel it should have been completely free if not even maybe given a gift card or something seeing as I had to take apart and open up the system myself to replace the seat.
