This Greenworks 60V 17 inch cordless push mower is best for small yards and easy gas free mowing. The 4.0Ah battery is described as enough for about a quarter acre, and the battery alone is said to be worth a big chunk of the price. It brings the usual electric perks, with no gas, fumes, oil changes, or priming, and the Greenworks platform has a long track record for some owners. The main limits are its push only design, the smaller deck, and weaker performance if grass gets too tall. A practical fit if the lawn stays trimmed and the yard is not large.
Common Questions (5)
A 17-inch mower with a 4.0Ah 60V battery is generally good for about a 1/4 acre. For longer mowing sessions, a second battery can help avoid stopping mid-job.
This deal is for the push version, so it does not have self-propelled assist. Greenworks self-propelled models use a separate gray lever, while the green levers are only the safety controls.
It can struggle if grass gets too tall; keeping up with mowing is important because the mower can choke or shut off when growth gets heavy. Gas mowers are more forgiving in those conditions, but the electric setup avoids gas, oil, fumes, and priming.
For a small lot, the 17-inch deck is a practical fit and can be a good choice if you want a lighter, easier-to-store mower. Larger yards usually benefit from a 21-22 inch deck because the 17-inch size requires more passes and overlap.
Yes, the battery version is reported to feel noticeably lighter than a gas push mower. That makes it easier to maneuver, especially if you want to avoid the weight and maintenance of gas equipment.

The 40V Ryobi was the first one I bought, $600 from HomeDepot. I have lots of other 40V Ryobi tools, and about six 40V batteries.
The 60V Wesco (21" self propelled metal deck) was on sale on Woot for $150. It was a discontinued brand, but I was able to buy 3 extra batteries off eBay for $20 each.
The 80V Greenworks (21" self propelled metal deck) was on sale from Walmart last year for $199. I currently have 3 batteries.

My blower, lawnmower , one of my weed eaters are 5 years old . I always buy these on sale when I can find them. Or you can search out marketplace and pick up some 60v batteries and Greenworks gear
Also have a lot of their other 60v gear, chainsaw, leaf blower, string trimmers, hedge trimmers and even a gizmo that allows me to use the battery as portable storage charging up to 300 watts.
Solid tech.
I also have a 40V Ryobi and 60V Wesco (both 21" / self propelled).
