This is a nice price for some very forgiving-of-poor-sources headphones. I paid $72 for mine, back in 2013, and they're still going strong. Very nice full luscious mids, reminding me of Wharfedale Diamond 9, 10, 11, or 1xx series speakers. Caveat: the warmth comes with a trade-off in treble extension and dynamics. If you are looking for headbanging, whomp whomp whomp bass or techno cans, these ain't it. If you listen to a lot of jazz, classical, or voice-dominant music, they are amazing for the price. You have to move up to the $150 and up price tier to get a more balanced sound, e.g. the AKG K612 which I also have.
