Blink Outdoor 4 is a wireless camera system best suited for basic home monitoring, especially when paired with Alexa and motion zones to reduce nuisance alerts and stretch battery life. The cameras can run for months on AA lithium batteries, and the system supports arming and disarming on a schedule. Full clip storage and longer video features require a subscription, and the Core sync module cannot store clips locally. Reliability and app performance are uneven, with reports of weak Wi Fi, clip loading bugs, and some units draining batteries much faster than others.

I have the old Arlo Pro system, the base system can record to a USB flash drive.
Since the videos save to the USB Flash Drive on the Base System...does the App allow you to look at them through your phone, just as you can with the older cameras - still for free? I have some pro cameras but they don't record videos like my older cameras do (grandfathered in). I'll get an alert that the Pro camera detected someone but I have to go live to see anything...and if they're gone, they're gone.

Do these still give 2 hours free cloud storage with no subscription with pre April 2019 grandfathered accounts?
I have a grandfather account and have added a new doorbell and a 2k camera. Still get free storage

Yes, I have the old Pro and Pro 2 versions, and both record to the base station with a USB stick. Make sure you format it via the app. Both notifications and recordings are working as expected from the cloud and are actually much faster.

People still buying blink cams, so many better options. Tried 3 different models over a few years and they all had numerous issues. Moved on to another brand and been a much more reliable experience. You couldn't pay me to use this junk.
What brand?

Good thing with blink is it uses 2 AA batteries. Use lithium rechargeable, it can last quite some time before next charging. And Lithium battery stays at 1.5V, not like Alkaline battery that drops to 1.3V quite fast, then blink camera complains and quit working. Bad thing with blink is its wifi capability is not good at all. and its app has some bugs. Sometimes app refuses to load clips, always saying another process is running, etc etc. Wait a few minutes and never load a locally saved clip. very frustrating, defeats the purpose of having security camera.
