Comparing Zstar's and soft feels is the worst possible comparison in the golf ball world. Zstars are high compression tour balls, and soft feels are super soft compression for very slow speed swings and a casing that prevents spin.

A majority of people who play zstars are probably better off playing soft feels, but bad to average golfers always want to play what they see the pros using. I think it's an ego thing.

Anyway, I've been playing zstar diamonds for years, and while I probably could handle soft feels of the tee, they have absolutely zero feel around the green.

A z-star may come in with a 58* wedge at 11k RPMs where a super soft may have 5k RPMs. Zero green control.

On the flip side, if you slice or hook the ball off the tee, the less spinning soft feel will fly straighter in the air.

Bought these on a whim, but I think these are no good for my slow swing speed. Tempted to try them anyway instead of returning.
