I think so. I have some Boston 12's and I love them for tempo and longer fast runs. I hope these feel the same. They are a little firmer but I prefer that for those style runs. I also have a couple pair of Evo SLs and Adios Pro 4s. They all have their purpose. The sole on my 12's has also lasted a while without showing much wear. Snagged a pair of these and Pro 4s...I swear I don't have a shoe problem.
What Ghost Max deal from Dick's? Brooks Ghost Max is $120 which is 2x as much as this Boston 13.
they are designed specifically for running races, and have carbon plates that will feel pretty stiff under foot.
I think you would be better served by evo sl and saucony ride 18 shoes for jogging/walking (evos if you want something that feels spring loaded and are ok trading off a little stability and comfort, the ride shoes if you want a solidly comfortable shoe with a more firm feel)

As another person said, these are carbon plated shoes which are generally made for races and shorter tempo runs. If you buy these for easy runs or walking they will feel horrible for that and your feet will hate you.
I'd never recommend Evo SLs for walking either. They are not plated but the energy return is nuts and stability is poor. I used these as my 5-10k race shoes. Good for tempo runs too. They are a great running shoe in general but too fast for easy days.
Ghost Max is a max cushion shoe so squishy with a lower energy return and better for slow easy runs.
Ultraboost I think does a better job as a casual shoe that you can also run in if that's what you're after.
