I got a bigger one and honestly wish I picked up this size instead. It's just too much grill for anyone that isn't trying to feed an army of people in 20 minutes. Go with this size for 10 or less people.

Yes I agree I bought the bigger one for approximately $300 and to be honest I use half of it to feed a family of 4....never use the full amount

I went to Walmart to pick up one of the 4-burner ones and saw how big they were, they had a couple out-of-box displays. I thought the same thing, those 4-burner ones are huge. I ended up getting the one in this post and couldn't be happier.
I had read that whenever you use it, you should turn all burners on to avoid warping the griddle. Since 90% of the time when I use it it's for 4 people or less, I can't imagine having bought the giant 4-burner one and turning on all 4 burners wasting propane every time. The 2-burner is the perfect size.
I mostly bought it for smash burgers for cookouts, and even if I hosted 20+ people it would still be fine. Smash burgers cook in ~5 minutes so you can just constantly rotate a dozen or so at a time and serve them up hot.

I hate the hard cover , I suggest converting to the hinged one.

It's been this price for awhile. There's plenty on marketplace in my area for $100 ish. Most are rusted tho but I snagged one in like New condition for $80. Prices on grills typically drop at end of summer

How's the heat control? Was looking at 36" Costco deal for omnivore but we usually just feed a family of 4. Also I heard this vs TSC/Ace models get hotter with more BTUs.

also does it have wind guards and how's the height?

I know the added heat control with 4 vs 2 can be nice but maybe Im overthinking it LOL

not really worth the drive to take on someone elses problems. I have made that mistake before. I would rather buy on sale than buy used after the last few nightmares I have adopted.

had mine for 5 years. Its still one of my best purchases. The versatility of food you can cook on this is incredible.

Risk vs reward. Not really much risk or taking on problems if it was in new condition for $80. Takes 2 minutes to test it if unsure.

That being said, there is a reason some people pay dearly to by new cars that depreciate as soon as they leave the dealership while others buy gently used for thousands less. Sadly, these days buying new isn't much of a guarantee either since many things are so poorly made now.

The griddle fad is over in my area and people are dumping these on marketplace like crazy for cheap, even units that look new. For those ok with buying from marketplace, I would check there first.

You have to be patient and find someone selling an original Blackstone. The reviews of the never generation Blackstones are filled with issues. Like the previous person mentioned- you're better off buying a used vs new.
I have the original 28" and 36" myself. The 36" died and I just waited for a while until someone posted the original generation 36" in good quality.

I agree with you guys, I got one for 3-4 people and hardly used it. It was just too much hassle cleaning and reoiling just for 4 people. I ended up selling mine for $200 locally with all the accessories, minus the gas tank and took the loss.

I just use an electric Ninja Sizzle Pro XL 20" GX101 now with great results and very little cleaning. Easily useable outside as well. worship
