This is not a good tool. The combination of it having a brushed motor, being a 12v tool and only having a 1.5Ah battery make it basically useless. If you want an M12 recip saw, get the M12 Fuel Hackzall and pair it with a 4.0 xc or preferably a 5.0 HO. I would generally advise not buying a 12v recip saw unless you have a very specific use case for it. If you want a compact but powerful recip saw, I'd recommend the M18 Fuel Hackzall or the Flex 24v one-handed recip saw. For things you may use a 12v recip saw for you may be better off with a multi-tool. Either way, don't buy this specific tool.

Agree on everything. M12 sucks for sawzall. I have the fuel and I use it over the flex due to it not being needed too much in my business and the flex one hand is really too big for my van drawers so I'm in the specific reason, this takes 3 times longer to cut anything. Love my M12 tools but these things need to go back to the drawing board

Why did I get a thumbs down on my comment? Instead of giving me a thumbs down, reply explaining what I got wrong. A thumbs down after I provided a well reasoned comment helps no one.

Nah, even the fuel m12 version is kinda crap. If it fits in a tight space it's better than a handsaw, but not very good compared to most m12 tools. The oscillating saw or the cutoff is handier in most tight spaces.
