Take them to Costco, they charge $25 if you bring your own frames
Im a bit of a glasses noob (but also kind of snob cuz i wear them religiously...think uneducated but snob requirements) and I had gotten some ray bans, but they took some damage on their first fall. I have this random chinese brand I got for $60 that has basically been immortal, but you can't buy them anymore.
Any guidance or opinions on these would be appreciated, but im looking to only pay $100+ for stuff that can withstand damage and still look okay/not show up from basic falls/drops.

Where would a grey market retailer be getting bulk quantities of authentic goods?

Costco charges $25 if you bring your own frames, after that you get (and pay) for whatever lenses they sell. The actual lenses will be still plastic- pollycarbonate, trivex, etc.
Yes, Maui Jim develops its own proprietary prescription lens design called MauiPassport for both single-vision and progressive lenses, but its just the coatings, the actual blanks still come from from one of the handfull suppliers- EssilorLuxottica, HOYA, ZEISS-75%of the market, and a bunch of smaller ones.
When the sunglasses arrived, the plastic sleeve holding the sunglasses had already been cut open, and the cardboard box containing the Maui Jim case was torn open and resealed with clear tape. The packaging clearly did not appear to be factory sealed.
I'm disappointed because I expected to receive a brand-new product. I've contacted Eyedictive and am waiting to see how they resolve the issue. Has anyone else had a similar experience ordering from them?
