maybe i'm not getting it but why would you play this instead of actually cooking?
i understand flight simulator or farm simulator since planes and farms are hard to come by / expensive. but is this for people without kitchens?

I think most of us already have multiple cooking simulators received from giveaways. The name "Cooking Simulator" doesn't make me think this one's all that unique.
