Unbelievable game, but can't imagine not playing it on a tablet.

Highlighting this comment to let others know that this drops to $2.50 from time to time. I bought it for this price in January, and I would assume it returns to this price during the major Steam sales

Is this a souls like game where repeated dying and starting over is part of the allure?

I ask cause I have a job, wife, and kids... need straight foward progression

The mobile version is complained about often. It should be great, but the port was half baked.

Probably my favorite game ever made. Highly, highly recommend if you haven't played it, and the sequel just recently came out as well.

Should I get this one or the sequel?

Start with this one, if you like it, get the sequel. The sequel is technically in prerelease now, so it's not yet in its final form.

I wouldn't call it a souls like, but I die a lot, especially in harder difficulty levels (aka ascensions). It probably perfect for your current life situation, as you can finish a full run within an hour once you're familiar with it.

Honestly it's the perfect game for pickup and play. You can literally play 10 seconds and put it down. The only progression is your skill (well there are a few unlocks)
