This is a horrible planer. You're better off buying an old one from a flea market, swap meet, or ebay.

I just bought a mint condition Swedish memo smoothing plane from ebay for $10 after shipping and tax. And a few months back, I got a beautiful Stanley #5 from an estate sale for $30.

These newer planes (and sadly all the newer items from Jorgensen) are a great way to hate using hand planes. Lol

Thank you so much for your comment. This is on my want kist, but I have enough hated tools already.

What did you dislike about it?

I picked up a #60-½ a couple years ago as a beater and have been surprisingly happy with it. It didn't need much honing. I'd think at this price this could be a good scrub plane?

Also, not all the new planes are garbage. Lie-Nielsen and Veritas are absolute joys to use.

A lot of the woodworking community has this bizarre notion that beginners A) have access to estate sales and have the understanding to sift through eBay listings looking for fixed-uppers and B) have the tools and SKILLS needed to restore an old plane. Beginners should buy new planes and a set of Amazon sharpening plates or even just sandpaper. This is a beginner plane and should be recommended as such, not a honed vintage masterpiece.
