This Apple TV complete series deal is mainly about convenience and access to the full run of Married with Children, but the listing does not clearly promise HD and the episodes are described as SD. The show is said to be taped, so there is no easy upscale path, and the version and music edits are still a concern for collectors. Playback also depends on Apple devices or a Windows PC with iTunes and the Apple TV app. At around $15, the price is still seen as strong value for easy digital viewing.
Common Questions (4)
This Apple TV purchase is in SD, and the listing does not clearly promise HD. The show may appear in HD on Prime, but buyers should not assume the Apple TV version is HD.
The series has had music and edit changes in some releases, including generic opening music and other cuts. The Sony edition is described as having better SD quality and subtitles, but some episodes were edited for copyright reasons after Sinatra song rights were lost.
At $14.99, it is considered a strong value for the complete series, especially compared with paying more in the past. The main tradeoff is SD quality, but the price is still viewed as worthwhile for convenient digital access.
Yes. It is a one-time purchase with zero subscription required, but playback is tied to Apple's ecosystem: you need an Apple device or a Windows PC with iTunes installed, then use the Apple TV app after the purchase is connected to your account.

Our internet provider was down for an extended time recently (days)....there's something to be said and of value, in having entertainment that doesn't need more than a DVD player and TV to enjoy.

I went online and saw Cox said for my address the price for unlimited Gigablast was $70/mo. They switched me to that deal and I'm saving big time now for the same service I was about to pay $160 for.
The fact that ISP's still continue to sell limited buckets of data should be a crime, especially when you're paying north of $100/mo for internet.
There is a scenario for every opinion...with physical media, living in the middle of nowhere or "off the grid" at the family cabin -- sure...have some DVD's handy. But most arguments for physical media are targeted to people who do have fast internet where data usage isn't an issue and usually based on the scare tactic that your digital movie collection is just going to disappear.
