Our internet provider was down for an extended time recently (days)....there's something to be said and of value, in having entertainment that doesn't need more than a DVD player and TV to enjoy.

I went online and saw Cox said for my address the price for unlimited Gigablast was $70/mo. They switched me to that deal and I'm saving big time now for the same service I was about to pay $160 for.
The fact that ISP's still continue to sell limited buckets of data should be a crime, especially when you're paying north of $100/mo for internet.
There is a scenario for every opinion...with physical media, living in the middle of nowhere or "off the grid" at the family cabin -- sure...have some DVD's handy. But most arguments for physical media are targeted to people who do have fast internet where data usage isn't an issue and usually based on the scare tactic that your digital movie collection is just going to disappear.
