What would be the use case for this, just really slow charging?

No experience with this particular one, but I use similar cables to charge kids devices overnight. Don't need super speed to fill up their kindle fire in 12 hours...

FWIW these no name cables are available for prices in this vicinity (sometimes via a multi pack fairly regularly).

It says "fast charging" on the 3rd attached thumbnail. I suppose fast is relative, though.

yeah, frees up some ports or weight of charging bricks when traveling with pretty much just charging in mind without urgency... (and with a Kindle for data kinda thing, sure... but you aren't hooking up hard drives to this with any imperative...

I've got a 6 pack of rechargeable night lights and motion lights that are in various places in my house that can't get wired (or I'm too lazy to do). I typically just throw them on and get them a later when I remember. It's nice to have these kinds of split ports so I don't have to do one at a time.
Niche use-case perhaps, but that's what I'd consider this for.

My wife always unplugs mine to charge hers. If I had these. They could both be charging. I know it's slower, but that's usually ok.
