I know it says "Gasless" but isn't that 2 gas ports I'm seeing in the front of the unit? 🤔Nevermind, they aren't but it does has the option to attach a gas line to it.

Are these a lot better than the portable guns and easier to use? I used my Seesii portable welder today. That was interesting. I got the job done, but it was awkward. First thing I ever welded in my life. I kept getting the rod stuck and my weld was super uneven.

$100 welder... 110v... you will get what you pay for.
Dont expect anything quality. Use this for backyard fence, or art or basic junk metal. Do not use this for car repair or building anything structural.
There is nothing called gasless mig/ tig.
There is flux core.

These cheap welders slap. Tell me you've never used one without telling me you've never used one.

Outdated zoomerspeak and tired internet colloquialisms aside, what he said is correct. There are uses for these extreme budget welders, but it's important to know their limitations. They're great for gluing 2 pieces of non-structural, thin metal together in a spot where you only have a 110v connection. They are not great for automotive repair outside of tacking a bracket or spring hanger in place while you test fit.

I have personally seen these 110V-120V FCAW boxes used outside of the US for welding everything from shipping container trailers, boat trailers, office building steel roofs, and ornamental burglar-proofing.

Imagine a guy in a pair of rubber slippers and a T-shirt laying dimes like he was counting money.

The only thing outdated here is your knowledge on how far the cheap welder market has advanced since whenever you ossified your opinions. For 98.9% of tasks a homeowner would use a welder for, this thing is great. Full stop.

While I haven't used this exact model yet (but I did just order 1 now), I have used a $90 and $110 110V wire welders like this and they both produced a hot enough bead to weld a car's frame with a decently strong fillet as long as you know what the unit's limitations are and you change your welding techniques to accomodate it's shortcomings. These cheap welders usually can't achieve the same amount of cold penetration since they don't produce as much heat as a good 220V welder can so you have to prep the weld joint by creating a V-notch first as well as preheat the parts with a torch for best results unless you're just welding thinner metal which my cheap welders handle fine so I'd assume this should be able to handle that sort of job fine too. I've noticed cheap 110V flux core welders create a bit more spatter so prepare for that. I've bought about a dozen other Seesii products in the last 2 years and they are all surprisingly good quality for their insanely low prices, including their $40 handheld stick welder which actually works decently well for what it is lol!
