Fantastic laptop - but if you need this powerful of a machine, chances are you also need more than 24gb memory. If you don't need more than 24GB memory, you probably don't need the 18/20 core M5 Pro chip at all. My opinion, of course.

Per BestBuy policy, the item must be in stock at the store in your state. If they let it slide for you then that's awesome! I tried with two different BestBuy agents and both didn't allow it since it was OOS near my address (despite it being available in another state)

Seems to be fewer GPU and CPU cores. Not to say it's a bad deal or not preferable, just seems to compromise more than just the storage unless I am misreading something.

You're right. I missed the core count. However, 48g ram can load larger llm models.

For this Price Point, it should be 48GB RAM. 24GB for $2.3K is very expensive.
