I bought the table saw (tool only) for $165 in Dec 2025. Price is not bad on two HP batteries and charger for extra ($210+7.5-$165= $52.5).

Wow, pretty good price for a cordless table saw. I have an old corded Ryobi table saw, similar looking to this one, but not as nice looking. I realize it won't be apples to apples comparison. But compared to the corded Skil 8-1/4 table saw, yes not corded and convenient as this Ryobi, but because the Skil comes with a rack and pinion fence, the ease of keeping the fence square reduces stress exponentially, and for like $179 on sale typically. If you're getting your first table saw, get one with rack and pinion fence. If the assurance of being 99.9% square is not a priority and convenience is, then yeah, what a great deal for a cordless. Looks like this has a good start/stop button too. Some cheap ones, the stop button is like the same size as the start button. You definitely want a stop button you can press with you knee at times.

I have this and its great, though i've never had another one so who knows what i am missing. Kind of wish it was 'hybrid' like some of the other more stationary tools

I have taught wood shop for 25 years, first, I would never use anything that is not a Saw Stop any more. No one plans to have an accident. These unpowered saws issues are with pushing and pulling the wood through at unexpected intervals. Too many horror stories of people thinking the board was stuck only to either kick back or jerk.
